Apparently, their paperwork has been a nightmare for my brother who's DPOA, but my parents seem to be happy. All the staff has been very nice.

Oakmont of Camarillo

Staff was really helpful and friendly. They worked with us to fully understand her Long Term Care Policy requirements and have been on time with providing confinement confirmation to my mother in law's insurance policy which has been so appreciated.

Very Nice Facility

She is in a locked memory care unit for safety reasons (she wanders off). Activities are geared towards residents in the more severe category. She has memory issues but is basically still "with it" and there is nothing available at her level that I can tell. Otherwise, it is a very well run facility. Regular care side has a lot available. Excellent dining, very pleasant grounds, weekly field trips on both sides.

Excellent Camarillo, CA facility

This facility is new, modern and they do a great job. They have excellent dining options and a very friendly staff. The Memory Care side has continuous activities throughout the day for the residents. The Assisted Living side includes a small library and a free movie theater (2 movies daily). They have weekly "road trips" to local sites, like the beach. It is located in an upscale residential neighborhood, so it is a very safe area. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

There when we needed them, and fast

We found ourselves on a Thursday night in need of a literal place for mom within a few days, after discharge from the hospital. The "front office" staff bent over backward all weekend to give us a tour, get us signed up and a room prepared, and be ready to welcome mom the following Monday. The staff in memory care could not have been more lovely. They put up with a lot from us as a transitioning family, and were great at welcoming mom and drawing her into activities and meeting potential friends while letting her a…
