Staff was very professional, friendly, and informative. Grounds are well maintained and inviting. They were very accommodating when we inquired about a tour on short notice.

Unorganized leadership

I’m writing this review with disappointment & concerns regarding the recent experience we had moving my uncle out. Unfortunately, the process did not reflect the level of care & professionalism one would expect from a community of this reputation, & I believe much of that stems from lack of leadership, care & responsiveness from [name removed], the ED. Warm on the inside

You get what you pay for, I guess. [fee removed] + per month is a little pricey. When I learned my sister needed assisted living I took her to several places and she decided where to stay. The Oakmont of El Dorado Hills was the nicest by far. It is immaculate. My sister is a foodie and loves the menu choices she has every meal. Nice for the Independent

Picked the community thinking my mother would be more comfortable her own room, familiar views out the windows, nicer atmosphere, adequate services, and affordable based on estimated services costs. Service costs tripled without us being consulted and notified till the bill arrived. We moved her out at 5 weeks and had to go meet with the staff when they did not return $[removed] of the refund. New 'home' for Mom

The location is easy and closer to get to. The atmosphere was very calming and had friendly, caring staff. They were functional and organized. I knew my mom would like this environment.

Communication needs improvement

The care facilitators mess up. Communication needs improvements. Care staff is very good although. Not their fault about communication. Very nice people. They seem to have a lot of turnover though in care staff and chefs. At this moment, due to our experience, I would not recommend Oakmont of El Dorado Hills to others.
