About the community
Conveniently located northwest of San Jose, California, is the sunny, lively city of Santa Clara, home to Pacific Gardens. Our assisted living and memory support community is nestled in a quiet neighborhood south of the hustle and bustle of Santa Clara. As the entertainment capital of Silicon Valley, there’s plenty to do and see in our little piece of The Golden State. Surrounded by beautiful flowers and palm trees, the path to Pacific Gardens is colorful and welcoming. Our spacious sunroom overlooks the entrance, just above the awning, and the exterior facing windows allow natural light to fill every room with its welcoming warmth. When you’re here, you’ll feel right at home. Community Amenities and Services Helping residents maintain their health and wellness through our thoughtful collection of activities and amenities is our top priority. Professional staff is available around the clock to offer the assistance necessary to bring residents the care and comfort they need. Our care services programs are designed to address residents' unique needs. Assistance with activities of daily living (e.g., personal care, dressing, incontinence care, and more), medication management, and escorts to and from meals or activities are just a few of the care services our trained, compassionate staff is able to provide. We know there is no one size fits all approach to our activities, and our activity coordinators have developed five programs to accommodate the needs and interests of our residents. These programs are specifically designed to meet the varying mental and physical abilities of residents, but each are designed to fulfill wellness of the mind and body. Residents can catch a classic movie in the theater, soak up some rays in the sunroom, or catch up with friends in the great room. Our seated exercise program makes it easy for residents to keep up on their fitness in our on-site gym. We also regularly host balance classes and share stretching routines, all of which is overseen by Affirma Rehabilitation. Living Arrangements We offer semi-private, one bedroom and studio floor plans. All units include a spacious, ensuite bathroom with a large step-in shower and plenty of handrails for safety. Between the warm shades of beige, a healthy dose of sunshine, and views of the surrounding trees through the windows, you’ll feel right at home in Pacific Gardens. Care Types Offered Pacific Gardens is a residential care facility for the elderly (RCFE) , which in the state of California is a housing arrangement for persons 60 years or older where supervision and personal care is provided based on the needs of the residents. These facilities are also known as assisted living facilities and board and care facilities . A residential care facility may provide care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s. ★★★★★
PositiveEveryone on the staff has been incredibly kind, patient and helpful with the onboarding process and they are kind to my grandmother as well. The room is large and well-equipped, an excellent value for the price compared to similar places in the area
★★★★★
PositiveVery friendly and caring staff, responsive when questions arose, studio apartment was kept clean (I think it was around 400 sqft), nice activities like bingo/movie nights/gym.
★★★★★
PositiveI would give them a 5 out of 5. The staff is caring, supportive, kind and thorough. They make sure her needs are met and the staff goes all they can to not only care for the residents but that they are also heard and nurtured.
★★★★★
PositiveMy grandma is in the memory unit and the staff in the memory unit are amazing. They are kind, caring and interactive with the people staying with them. They are very aware of the wants and needs of the patients. They are accommodating to the family of the people there and its easy to contact them to communicate. Yes, we would recommend Pacific Gardens to other families based on the experience.
★★★★★
PositiveThe facility is more homey than some of the more modern facilities and my dad appreciated that environment. The front desk staff was very friendly. The nursing staff was also very caring and easy to contact and kept me well informed. My dad was able to stay there under hospice care and the Pacific Gardens staff coordinated well with the hospice staff. My dad said he felt like the staff really cared about him. We were very happy with his time there.
★★★★★
PositiveWe have been very pleased with the decision to move mom into Pacific Gardens Memory Care. Starting with the welcome card at the front door on the first day, to the greetings from everyone we see every time we’re there, it is clear the people there truly care. The hands on caregivers are extremely patient and I am confident in my mom’s safety and enrichment.
