Peregrine Senior Living

I was worried at first. But I stopped in yesterday to see her. I spied on her for a few moments. Her hair was all done up nice. They have a salon there I think they just did her hair possibly. But the best thing was her smile and participating in a group fun time. It has been a long time since I have seen her happy like that. I am much more optimistic about the place now.

Care???

I am still visiting my husband daily to continue his hygiene and asking for his sheets to be changed after 12-14 days. In the contract it says twice a week. Recently I took him to a podiatrist for care and some work was done. I handed the correct person in Peregrine the sheet the doctor had instructed for his feet to be soaked twice a day in warm salted water for two days to keep infection from happening. I needed to leave for those two hoping these instructions would be followed. Sunday evening I returned to find

The facility seems well kept and clean, although I did notice a slight smell of urine. The tour felt like a bit of a whirlwind, and the atmosphere felt a bit chaotic to me. My 96-year-old dad is very slow and quiet, so I felt this was not a good option for him.

Found it to be open clean and friendly. Liked that it gives enough space for residents to not feel locked in. Loved the open courtyard and the chapel area.

Review for Peregrine Senior Living at Onondaga Hill

The rooms are very large and are maintained well. In general, the staff is OK. Some of the aids do not do everything that they should.

Very pleasant. Not a lot of people were walking around at 3pm when I went. Larger and newer facility than some. Staff was pleasant - I commented on a piece of cake a staff member was eating and they gave me a small loaf of it when I left. Didn't meet in a room to discuss the facility - met in an open room where residents walked through. One came up to us and squeezed in between us on the couch while we were discussing things. Lots of sunlight, pleasant atmosphere, several community rooms to congregate.
