My husband was at the pines for respite care from [date removed]. He has dementia and was in their memory care unit which is supposed to be secure. kOn the 21 I got a call at night that he got out of the unit that day and was found at a church nearby. They called the police because he had no ID on him and was taken to H.H. Hospital. They gave me no explanation other then they did not know how he got out. Caring place for seniors

My mother had to enter assisted living at the Bloom due to falling and frailty in her mid nineties. The rooms are lovely and her one bedroom is spacious with a large bedroom and separate sitting area. Three meals a day are offered and residents have choices for each meal. Housekeeping and bed making are done daily. Laundry services are provided. The staff is very friendly and patient with residents and families. I cannot say enough good things about Bloom at Hilton Head. Every family has to make the decision that works for their needs and set their expectations accordingly. After making a error in judgment and moving Mom to another senior facility, we made the change and moved Mom to Bloom at Hilton Head a year and half ago. My Mother In Law is Safe and In Good Hands Here

My mother in law in now in the memory care portion of the community. So everything is working out pretty well. They do a good job with keeping the community and room well maintained. There are activities offered. The staff is kind, they have been helpful and friendly. She is satisfied with the meals. Overall I know she is safe and receiving great care. She is safe and in good hands. This is a community I would recommend.

Bloom @ Hilton Head

Since I have only been there a few times, what I saw was impressive. Mom is in the Alzheimer's wing. Very nice. The only gripe I would have is that they do not have automatic payment set up for Billing. Also they are in the process of getting a phone system back by where mom is. If I want to talk to mom I have to call one of the Staff and use their cell phone.
