My husband has been in the Memory Care unit at Pinicon Senior Living since mid-[date removed] and receives excellent care. I know he has presented some real challenges for the staff, and they have worked hard to manage him through his behaviors, showing him care, concern and patience. Pinicon Senior Living was a diamond in the rough for my family and I. At the time we were looking for a place for my father to get care and that was close so we could come and see him. Pinicon was just that. Staff was always very helpful and treated dad with respect. Although dad chose not to participate in activities, i loved that they had activities for him to do if he so chose. My dad had a good experience at Pinicon Senior Living - until he didn't. We were very happy with the care that he received there, but after being sent to the hospital, Pinicon would not allow him to return. I understand that each facility is licensed and staffed for different levels of care, but I was very disappointed in how this all transpired. We picked them specifically because they are licensed for a 2 person assist. They are between assisted living and long term care. That was what we needed so it worked out great. They have continue to make a real effort to get to know my dad and understand his life and his interests so that they know how to engage with him.
