★★★★★
PositivePlace is always clean. Family like atmosphere and a friendly staff. My loved one is always clean and seems to be well cared for.
★★★★★
CriticalStaff was kind, but not enough staff to handle the care of so many patients. Food was ok, but my mom gained 60lbs in 7 months. The room was clean mostly, but they never helped her hoarding issues. They didn't have time to work individually with her to get her to shower or investigate why she wasn't showering. Turns out her bath mat was too slippery, so she was afraid. Administration lacked professional knowledge and unfamiliar with their own policies and practices. The whole place was like a holding facility rather…

Positive[name removed] was my tour guide and provided an excellent experience! Am definitely interested in transfering my sister to Porter Place but finances are a real concern. Will wait to hear how her scheduled assessment goes by [name removed] next week. I feel the environment there will be a good choice for her and her care would be at a greater level!
★★★★★
CriticalSince the departure of [name removed], [name removed]and [name removed], this place has turned to garbage. I loved this place for my mom before. She had exceptional care from so many and all management and staff knew her and me. Now you walk in and it’s like night and day. There are still some phenomenal staff who should not go unappreciated. These people will go above and beyond. As far as the others - it’s a paycheck and their behavior shows that. They don’t care about the residents or the family members. My Mom …

PositiveThe community was amazing. I never wanted to place my dad in a facility, so I was scared. But everything about Porter Place made me feel good about having him there. The facility, the administrators, the care givers, were great. The community was welcoming and reassuring.
★★★★★
PositiveAt first Porter Place was good, as [name removed] was partially able to listen. First was eating. They told me he was using fork, turned out to be not true I asked for finger food, was told he didn't need. He fell trying to get up at least 5 times and since I was new to this, had to find out for myself there was a wheelchair he could not get out of. Often staff problems with not showing up. Also in watching patients in the activity room. Saw an older lady slide right out of her chair because no one was watchin…
