Porter Place Memory Care is a pet-friendly community that exclusively serves residents experiencing memory loss. They specialize in providing person-centered care and individualized resident programming, to create a loving atmosphere that can be felt throughout the entire community. Community Amenities and Services While Porter Place Memory Care exclusively serves residents with memory loss, they provide some additional specialized services as well such as ambulatory care, diabetic care, personal care, and medication management. Staff are specially trained in memory care and a variety of community specialists are available for supplemental care as needed. Hospice is available on-site for residents who require end-of-life care, with the aim of keeping them comfortable, relaxed, and in good spirits. All residents enjoy three meals per day in the restaurant-style dining room. Restaurant staff are happy to make dietary accommodations as needed to help ensure all residents are well-fed and satisfied. In between meals, residents can take advantage of community common spaces and activities. Residents can curl up with a good book in the living room, sit and soak in the sunshine on the patio, and catch up with visiting friends and family in the dining room. Staff was kind, but not enough staff to handle the care of so many patients. Food was ok, but my mom gained 60lbs in 7 months. The room was clean mostly, but they never helped her hoarding issues. They didn't have time to work individually with her to get her to shower or investigate why she wasn't showering. Turns out her bath mat was too slippery, so she was afraid. She had exceptional care from so many and all management and staff knew her and me. Now you walk in and it’s like night and day. There are still some phenomenal staff who should not go unappreciated.
