CriticalIf you go for nursing help it is very limited. Nursing not warm and friendly. Cna staff was very good but limited to what they can do. Dining staff very good. Administration staff seemed to change but no update to residents on who replace who. Facility is mostly clean didn't seem to enough staff. Maintenance staff very helpful.

PositiveIt is a wonderful place. The staff has been very helpful with any situation. They honestly love the clients and the families. The only complaint is the doctor and medical staff don't make it easy to get updates. I call the Director of Nursing to get information about the doctor visits and I get resistance. I'm tempted to get my dad an outside doctor so I know what is going on. The food looks appetizing and healthy. They also help with the transition of self-pay to Medicaid since the beginning. They keep my Dad clea…

PositiveDefinitely 5 for every category. My mother recently passed away but I know that she liked being at the Pointe. If I had to choose one thing, I would have to say it was the staff from top to bottom that makes the Pointe an excellent choice for assisted living. I remember my first impression when I first visited the Pointe was how happy everyone seemed to be, both the staff and residents. That kind of cheerfulness was evident in the quality of care provided and social interaction between staff and residents. That als…

PositiveI would rate it 4/5. Always room for improvement. Things I like The activities, the food menu and the in house doctor's visits for podiatry and ophthalmology. They also have a beautician that comes out once a week. Things that could improve. Feeding the residents seems a-little like feeding inmates just quickly passing out food giving out dessert even before they are finished with their meal even if it's ice cream that could melt. When looking for a place for your loved ones you need to put in the foot work and lo…

PositiveStaff gets a 4 -simply because I don't know the new person in charge. [name removed] left in July and she was awesome. The meals - there were some hiccups this summer. Mom only goes to dinner and frequently they ran out of the scheduled menu item and sometimes the quality wasn't good. Activities -pet therapy is a popular activity, yet it's scheduled when the [name removed] in the hair salon is there (and she's there only twice a month, so folks need to take advantage of her presence). 8. 5

CriticalRequest a team meeting with directors, RN, CNAs working with your parent during the first week your parent is there. You must all be on the same page with what is communicated to families, what is families responsibility to communicate, etc.
