Rancho Peñasquitos Senior Living was a good sized place to start looking. It is a medium sized facility with fewer than 100 beds. The rooms are private, a feature I liked for my fiercely independent husband. The director I worked with was very generous with her time and knowledge. I did not feel pressure, just informed. My concerns were not dealt with breakers, but I did not love that memory care residents were the only ones with access to the two outdoor areas. Poor Memory Care Experience

Upon moving a family member in here I was so excited as I thought I found the perfect place for them. Very quickly I started to realize the staff here is not equipped or trained to care for Dementia residents. Please be warmed if your loved one has any behavioral issues associated with Dementia this is definitely not the place for them.
