About Resorts at Daughters of Miriam

Resorts at Daughters of Miriam is a secure, 25-apartment memory care assisted living community dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for individuals living with dementia. Our caring team creates a safe, supportive environment where residents can thrive while offering families peace of mind. Our thoughtfully designed programming combines the comfort of a consistent daily routine with opportunities for personal choice and meaningful engagement. We focus on each resident's unique strengths while providing individualized support to help minimize the challenges associated with memory loss. Residents enjoy two beautiful, secure enclosed courtyards where they can safely relax outdoors, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy the beauty of fresh air and blooming gardens. At mealtimes, our staff members dine alongside residents, creating a warm, family-style atmosphere that encourages conversation, connection, and person-centered care. We also utilize iN2L (It's Never 2 Late) interactive technology to provide engaging activities that promote cognitive stimulation, socialization, and an enhanced quality of life. As part of the King David campus, residents have convenient access to a full continuum of care and services, including aquatic and land-based therapy, skilled rehabilitation, dialysis, adult day services, home care, and hospice—ensuring support is available as needs change.

OUTRAGEOUS

Be very careful when choosing this place for your loved one. My mother (age 80) broke her hip, a non displaced break so no surgery but a good deal of pain. Hillcrest was, as usual, top notch. Discharged to physical therapy only bed open was Montefiore. There is no direct chain of command at Montefiore. There are a good many contract workers there. My mother was there for the PT and OT to get her up and walking so she could return home. COORDINATION OF CARE IS A DISASTER - Day one PT picked her up for PT and she had

Response from the community

We just came across this review and want to thank you for sharing your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear how stressful and challenging that time was for you and your mother. While this review reflects events from many years ago, we feel it’s important to acknowledge your concerns. Since then, the facility has undergone a complete transformation. The Willensky Residence is now Resorts at Daughters of Miriam, operating under entirely new ownership and leadership, with a stable, dedicated team and strong systems in place for coordination of care. Today’s community is very different from the one described here. We understand how critical communication, pain management, and continuity of care are—especially after an injury like a hip fracture—and we regret that your past experience caused so much frustration. Although we cannot change what happened years ago, we are committed to a much higher standard of care and accountability now. If you would ever like to learn more about how the community functions today, we’d be glad to speak with you. We wish you and your family the very best.

Good place

My mother was here after she had her fractured hip surgery, it was very good, she liked it there. Of course with the therapy you can only do so much and I knew she would plateau because she wasn't weight bearing.
