We’re a senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services in an upscale, resort-inspired environment. Community Amenities and Services We’re committed to providing personalized services and amenities that enrich the lives of residents as they turn the page to a new chapter in life. From an exciting calendar of activities and events to our compassionate and attentive care services, residents can focus on the things that bring them joy and let go of the stresses that often come with maintaining a home. We offer housekeeping and laundry care services, as well as assistance with grocery shopping and errands should you need it. Our culinary team prepares a variety of delicious meals served restaurant style in the dining room. Room service is available upon request, and guests are always welcome to join! Here at Rio Terra, residents are encouraged to lead an active lifestyle filled with fun, fulfilling activities. As a pet-friendly community, we are pleased to have plenty of indoor and outdoor common areas for residents and their four-legged friends to enjoy. Spending an afternoon curled up by the fire in the billiards lounge, breaking a sweat in one of group exercise classes, or taking a dip in our pool are just some of the ways you can find joy at The Veraden. We encourage independence by scheduling routine outings to help residents stay connected with the surrounding community. Our team is available 24/7 to assist with a variety of personal care needs, and all members have received specialized memory care training to best serve residents with Alzheimer’s, other forms of dementia, and other memory-related diseases. Assistance with daily activities of living (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing, among others), medication management, and incontinence care are just a few of the services we provide. We have licensed nurses on site to assist with general health concerns, and we frequently partner with local health care specialists to keep up with the changing needs of each resident. Transportation to and from appointments outside of the community is available as well. Residents and loved ones can rest assured that our compassionate, capable staff are here to support and encourage their health and wellness in every sense. Living Arrangements We offer a delightful selection of living arrangements to meet your needs and desired lifestyle. Options range from independent living cottages to semi-private memory care studios. Excellent craftsmanship, plush carpeting, and ample natural lighting can be found in every available unit. For those who desire a more residential environment, our cottages offer all that and more. One- and two-bedroom floor plans are available, each featuring an attached garage, a utility room equipped with washer and dryer, an office space, and a gorgeous kitchen with direct access to your patio space. Our independent living apartments offer many of the same luxuries as our cottages with easy access to all of our communities upscale amenities. Studio, one-, and two-bedroom floor plans are available for independent living. Assisted living and memory care residents have the option of selecting private or semi-private arrangements. Each unit is thoughtfully designed to be wheelchair accessible and maximize storage space. Assisted living units include a kitchenette, perfect for storing your favorite snacks and beverages. Whichever you choose, we’re sure you’ll settle in nicely here at Rio Terra. State Classification Rio Terra Senior Living is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
