We were able to help find our friend the perfect place for her to thrive. A small community with people who truly act like family. Serene surroundings with loving and professional caretakers. She is constantly impressed with the meals, laundry service and housekeeping. We are blessed beyond words.

Very caring and went above and beyond to help us in a difficult situation. Far exceeded my expectations.

Does not provide adequate services

I do not endorse the Texan House. The rooms are converted barn stalls and not appropriate for family members with disabilities. The bathrooms are too small and not mobility accessible. The rooms are dark/dreary, there’s no activities for residents, and no one certified to give medication. The main house is a good distance from the rooms leaving residents isolated. Meals are delivered cold and tasteless. My mother fell several times during her short stay at the Texan House. There’s no emergency call button, she had …

We actually loved the family- like feel and the small community of the Texan house. The owner and his staff take a personal interest in each resident and his or her needs. The issue for us was it was too far from the San Antonio airport area, which is where the closest relatives live.

Great place for independent living.

It was a wonderful place for those that didn't have serious memory problems.
