★★★★★
PositiveI was given the tour of Robin Run by the sales counselor, who did an excellent job. I did not feel rushed, and she was very thorough. During the tour, she did not hesitate to stop to answer my questions. The location of Robin Run I toured was very clean. The residents and employees of Robin Run that I came into contact with were friendly, and they all knew the counselor. The woman who does patient assessments for Robin Run stopped what she was doing to answer my questions.

PositiveMy father had had a couple health issues in the past year: we mutually decided it was time for him to be in a place that could help if necessary. His one main requirement was on-site dining as he hates to cook. During our “scouting” we visited and had lunch. Sold! Perhaps more importantly, what reassurances do I have; as his only remaining child, that he can get the help he needs if and when necessary. I was given reassuring information. In addition, I have lived nearby for 30 years and know several residents. Th…

PositiveEveryone there is very nice. They have a lot of activities. Parking is not good for the residents. The food has been pretty bad but they are working on it. They have regular meetings with the residents and acid feedback. They have been changing their menu.

PositiveThey were very nice and toured us around the entire facility. We spoke to residents. Everyone was nice. During the move in process they kept in touch and were very helpful. Once my mom moved in though it was hard to find someone to get answers when needed because their move in coordinator had left. Some things they told us had changed though; she can’t park her scooter in the hall, there is no Sunday brunch; salt water pool is actually chlorine. All things that were selling points. The food is awful, over cooked…

CriticalMy experience with my mother is that the assisted living is woefully and chronically understaffed. There is a huge staff turnover, especially with management. Reported problems do not get fixed, and prevailing attitude with the organization seems to be profit over people. There are, of course some staff members who try to do their jobs well, but that seems to be the exception. They have emergency call necklaces, but there was a quicker response in the independent living apartments than there is in the assisted livi…
