Do not recommend

I am absolutely disappointed with that place and would not recommend it to no one. I spent a lot of time at Eden Vista (not memory care) and saw that workers are not taking care of residents as they promise. Just for them to come when resident press help button takes 30-45 minutes! And I am talking about fall risk and hospice residents. Resident fell numerous times and one fall caused head trauma and passes very shortly after. Because resident had cancer and was in hospice care, it was all brushed under the rug. Wh…

Most of the staff are nice and helpful. My dad complained about the food. I agreed with him. I remember when grandma was there and food was better. Overall my dad had good care and communicated well when things weren't good. It is very clean and dos not have any foul odors. Messes were cleaned right away. His room was clean but they did not keep it organized. I think the value of money is down if someone is considering it. They went on a base price and add on quantity of care. Great Nursing Staff

The main nursing staff is very good here. I know they've had changes with the management but the primary nurses are very good. However, they need to work on staffing over the weekends with nursing assistants. It's obvious there aren't enough staff. Also, they need to hire persons to wash and put away resident clothes... not put that on the CNA's. The cubicles in her closet are always a mess. Clothing everywhere, missing socks, other residents clothing, sheets etc. in her closet... just a hot mess.

Highly recommended facility for Mom

The one thing I wish I knew before selecting a place for mom is if the facility supplied furniture (bed, chair, television, etc). The staff was excellent I helping get mom settled once I got her furniture set-up. Even though mom only stayed for 5 weeks she really enjoyed her short stay there. I was satisfied with the services provided by Rock Run Place Memory Center.

I would tell a friend, not to go to rock run and send them somewhere else. The place is dirty and too much change of personal and no one in mgmt cares about anything. This place is no different than a nursing home .

Overall, we had a very positive experience from the very beginning of information gathering and explanation of services, etc. during her stay she was very well cared for she was comfortable. Their visitation was great and the nursing staff was always very nice and helpful. The problem came upon her exit at the beginning I made them aware that this was a spend down situation so we would essentially keep her there until she ran out of money and then we would look at next level of care.
