I will say we could not be happier with the care my mom is receiving. She feels at home in fact she call her room her home. She is happy and feels very safe. The activities she has attended have been good for her and my sisters and I love the fact the she goes to the dining room for her meals which keep her moving during the day. She has people she has gotten to know that she talks with each day.

The Vilas Home experience has been nothing short of incredible. We made a very quick transition for our Mom and the staff at Vilas made it seamless. They helped us at every turn to insure it happened in time and with minimal impact on our Mom. This was a big step for us and especially Mom. During our first visit to the Samuel F. Vilas Home we were impressed by the courteous, accommodating staff, the simple elegance of the building, and the warm, welcoming ambiance of the various common rooms. We arrived close to lunchtime, and my mom was invited to join other residents for a delicious noontime meal. PositiveGreat Place for the Elderly
The only thing is they don't do higher levels of care, based on their licensing. So the patient definitely needs to be independent. They have stairs, so they can't take someone who is unable to navigate stairs. They do have a higher level of care they can transfer you to, but that place I felt questionable about. But the location was really good at Samuel F. Vila Home. The owner was really nice and really accommodating. And the staff were very dedicated to their patients from what I could see.
