San Clemente Villas

Some of the people are great and some not so much. We needed more medically. Food is ok, but they always forget something and take forever. They will deliver meals for a fee and if they remember to put the order in. The place just went through a huge renovation. And it really confused my Mom moving her around.

Great place ??

A place for mom helped me find San Clemente Villas and it has been everything I hoped for! My mom is so happy and the staff are caring and helpful! If it weren’t for the referral, I don’t know if I would have found it. I’m so grateful for their assistance!

Overall Recommend

Disappointed that it sold to a big company now - it's all good, it's just when a company comes in after a sale they always think they need to fix the things that aren't broken, change for the sake of change. They did refresh the halls with paint. I've heard they want to eliminate studios to one bedrooms. The value for a studio in this area... great. One bedrooms are expensive. I don't think residents have noticed too much of a change - I think it's the staff, since there are more corporate rules. All in all it's…

Friendly Staff

My brother doesn't go to the dining room as he is quite large & the chairs wouldn't accommodate him. He can call & order a meal & pick it up, but he has trouble walking so he doesn't do that either. Mostly, he has microwavable frozen meals in his room.

Recommend, with reservations

We thought we paid to have someone help her get to meals, to shower, etc. Many days she went without a meal because no one came to get her. She felt like she was a burden, like her helpers were too busy, disgruntled about helping her.

Review for San Clemente Villas By the Sea

Overall, SC Villas is a wonderful community! Our family member adjusted very quickly and loves it there. It has been turned from private ownership to corporate within the past year, so it is tough to say what things may soon look like down the road. Although the building (especially the interior) is a bit dated, they do take good care of it. The social activities and physical activity options are great! Overall, the staff is great!
