Be sure to thoroughly review the facility, talk to the residents and ask for a full disclosure of all fees and charges over and above the monthly rent. It may surprise you. Also find out what the monthly charge will actually cover. Don't take the sales pitch at face value.

I can honestly rate all of them as a five. The value for the money is a tricky question because I do understand that all assisted living facilities in this area seem to be very expensive and his bill can be around $[fee removed] a month with the extra things that he needs on top of the normal monthly cost. But we feel that it is worth it for the level of consistently excellent care and professionalism that we have experienced there! And they are incredibly welcoming to guests. CriticalSancerre at Palm Coast review
A number of issues. Monthly billing is incorrect half the time and it is difficult to get it corrected - even when they admit they are wrong. Requests for tv assistance is ignored. Laundry service is hit or miss. Rooms are not well cleaned. While the nurses do a quality job, the head of the department, Director of Wellness does not call or email back - at all. Overall, the facility is clean. Staff is friendly, they just don't do as they promise nor follow up. The actual quality of the care received is satisfactory…
