The staff was so kind to my mom, who has dementia. The room was perfect for her and she said she liked the food. I'm so grateful they offer respite care so I can leave town and not worry about my mom. She'll be going there again for respite care.

Overall experience. The aids are very nice a lot of turnover with the aids don't see a lot of activities housekeeping could be a lot better than what it is. There's several times I've come in and sweep my mom's floor my mom really doesn't like the food. The food is really bland the room size is ok. She was sharing a room until her roommate passed away. But not enough closet space but hospice 360 comes in several days a week. And it helps my mom with her baths, read scripture and check on her health i'm thankful fo…

The one thing I do remember is how kind all of the staff was. Every one of them. I don't know that it would have worked with that population, but I was thinking it would be nice to have more organized activities. Or maybe some music brought in. Where my mom is now in California, I know we're talking about a different type of area, but maybe if Shawnee could bring in some high school groups to play, etc., but look into a type of musical group.

Several times throughout the year they do Friends and Family Dinners that we can attend. The facility is nicely decorated for the different seasons and holidays, making it feel more "homey". They have a salon for both men and women to get their hair cut, etc. They offer rooms where people can bring meals in for the residents for a special occasion or get-together.
