★★★★★
PositiveThe facility was bright, clean and with no unpleasant odors. When we arrived, there was an activity going on with many of residents in attendance - all seemingly enjoying themselves. The person who guided us through the facility and "interviewed" us and, in detail told us about Sodalis, was very pleasant, and sensitive to our needs. We have decided not to use Sodalis for two primary reasons - it was farther from our house and with heavy slow traffic. And it was more expensive than we had anticipated.
★★★★★
PositiveI toured seven facilities for a place for my mom to live in San Antonio. Thank you to A Place for Mom for all the guidance and information. We will be moving my mom into Sodalis at the end of this month, as it seemed the best choice & fit for her.
★★★★★
CriticalOffice staff was very nice. The nurses in the memory care was not as caring and patient as I thought they should be with mom. They sent her to the hospital several times then I moved her the last time after her counts were really off from not eating properly.
★★★★★
PositiveThe activity director and head of nursing are both exceptional. The activity director [name removed] exudes compassion and energy, and provides all sorts of creative activities and crafts for the residents. [name removed], the head nurse is capable and efficient. She is in touch with the big picture and daily needs and gets things done. All of our issues have been minor, but they really need to work on response times to a resident's call. I definitely recommend this community.
★★★★★
PositiveI think the majority of the staff are exceptional, with 1-2 just there for the paycheck. The quality of care is good and the dining selections are probably the best in San Antonio. The room is spacious. The activities and the manager of activities is energetic, engaging and thoughtful. This is not a perfect score because of the response times to call for assistance average 3-4 hours at times. Staffing is not adequate for number of residents.
★★★★★
PositiveMy parents aren't the happiest there. They have lost their independence. They complain about the food as well. I think it's more that they miss having the independence of driving and being at their own home. Yes I would recommend it though
