CriticalThe facility is very nice physically but not enough staffing for the number of people. My husband was there for a 10 day respite visit and they totally screwed up his meds. The med tech wasn't fluent in English and gave the wrong meds at the wrong time if at all. He had 3 meds starting with M and she thought they were all the same. And I caught her giving him his sleeping pill at 10 in the morning!! The never received a shower the entire time he was there. It was just not a good experience. He could barely ambulate…

CriticalMy mother paid extra for a higher level of care that was inconsistently delivered. Staff was not always trained as they should be, many did not use proper procedures to control cross contamination. This was a constant issue, dangling bracelets when providing personal care, long hair in the way etc. etc. There was confusion over medications.
Response from the communityHi there, We are sorry to hear this has happened to your mother, we will look into this more to help prevent this from happening to others. Thank you for sharing this with us.

PositiveA good experience working with your team. From out of town so your recommendations were so helpful. We chose Salanta at the Park. They were very kind to my sister and brother in law. Sadly my sister only lived for about 10 days and brother in law [date removed]. Cleanliness was satisfactory. I was only there a couple of times to get them settled. Friendly helpful staff. With my limited exposure I feel they took good care of my loved ones. My brother in law had dementia so his activities were TV. I was not present f…

CriticalThe quality and nutrition of the food has gone down. More food is being wasted than is being eaten due to poor quality and poor food choices. There is a lot of fried food being served that is overcooked and not healthy. Examples are overcooked breaded shrimp, overcooked breaded fried fish, hamburger & chicken breast overcooked, dry, and hard to chew. Even though items are on the daily menus they are not available (e.g. eggs at breakfast). The other menu that says "you can order these items at any time" are also not…
