Solstice at Fairport

Staff was very friendly. Residents were accommodating when letting us view their apartments. Building was clean and bright

I really liked the place, it is very close to being our choice. [name removed] was a great tour guide, revealing the good accommodations at Solstice.

We really liked Solstice. We actually spoke to a resident on the way out who had nothing but raves. That being said… as an independent living facility, not having a full kitchen in the rooms may be a deal breaker. My mother is still independent enough to cook for herself and loves to bake. Having dinners provided is great. Bringing whatever she has put together to bake to a community kitchen seems a bit too much for an independent facility. Other than that, my mother was impressed.

I had a lovely visit Ans look forward to my mom Becoming a resident here. The setting is beautiful and all the residents seemed very happy and friendly.

The person showing us around couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The dining area looked wonderful as well as the activities they offer residents. The apartments were too small for our needs. The bungalows were more roomy and doable but older than we would like. We found Soltice overall was not a good fit for us.

Make sure you're comfortable with not having someone there 24/7. They do not have many staff there on evenings or weekends. Depending on the person, this might not be important. I think it would be nice if they could add a deadbolt lock on the doors that go to the patio (at least on the ground floor apartments). More choices on the food menu would be good.
