Solstice at Groton

Nice facility. Very knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions. Took a good amount of time speaking with me. Staff was very friendly.

My Experience so far

Good experience so far. Friendly, helpful staff but currently short staffed. There is a variety of activities, the food is overall above average and te three meals a day are quite good. The grounds are looking a lot better with spring on its way and we have a new manager. Some good communication going on and although building and grounds are almost 40 years old I see improvement daily. I chose this residence over 6 others for one reason. The staff and residents made us feel welcome.

Solstice is a wonderful fit. No problems and no worries. I would recommend if you are in a situation as I was in or to get the relief I did that you give a look. Just touring the first time convinced me. Hoping to soon be a resident.....see you there!

Talk to the current residents, they give a lot of feedback when you are looking. I have gotten to know several of the residents there, it's a great place.

Review for Solstice at Groton

Tremendous staff. Faculty is very clean. Plenty of activities for the clients if the so desire. Food appears to be good. Studio, which my sisters had is adequate. We are thinking of trying to get into a 1 bedroom. Also the facility is safe and one of the main reasons the family chose Soltice.

Helpful things to know

You only pay for extra help when needed. E.g. help with bathing or help with laundry you only pay by the hour for what you need help with. Other facilities charges include any help the client may need whether or not they need them at the time. Apartment sizes are acceptable for your needs. You do get utilities included along with cable. We told my Dad when he moved in that his apartment was for sleeping and quiet time the rest of the facility was his home too.
