Review for The Pointe at South Harmony Lodge

There are some very nice features about the pointe . The staff is friendly and helpful, understanding of the needs of their residents. On the other side of the coin, there are some expectations that have not been met: requested haircut for my mom the day we checked in and it still hasn't been done two weeks later. Some of my mother's smaller needs are not being met, i.e. Help brushing her hair and teeth daily. The facility was very clean and me and my wife were able to witness some of the day’s activities which was an acoustic guitarist playing for a crowd of 20 or more residents. We then were directed into a private conference room where questions were asked and answered by us and the facilities representative. We were then taken on a tour and shown the different areas and what a private room looks like if that should be our choice for our Dear Aunt. Kind and patient, very informative, helpful information. The facility is clean and attractive. Bathrooms are open and well made for ease of use.

Would not recommend

Food was absolutely terrible. Very limited choices. Tasted terrible. Very small portions. We had several times when dad pushed his alarm and no one came, or came hours later. He had no shower for a week. We took him out of there in less than two weeks. Never felt like he was safe there. Let me know if you need more information.
