Somerset Gardens Senior Living of Plainview, conveniently located off the Long Island Expressway, offers personalized assisted living in a warm and caring environment supervised 24 hours a day. Our elegant apartments and dedicated staff ensure that each resident enjoys the comforts of home. Additionally, our gracious common areas provide room for activities such as movies, billiards, music and book gatherings. Our Wellness Center provides personal care to residents as needed. Our living room program is a floor dedicated to individuals with Alzheimer's and other related memory impairment. It provides individualized care with dignity in a safe and secure environment.

The staff is very friendly and responsive. My mom continues to be very social and they actively engage with her. My mom is not much of an activities person so when the other are engaged in games my mom will spend time with one of the aides. Food has been above average and the rooms and bathroom are always tidy. The most important is that my mom has a community around her which provides her comfort and dignity. Since entering her physical well being and overall attitude has improved significantly. The staff was very nice, but a little short staffed on the weekends. My Mom had a smaller room on the third floor , by choice, because she would not use her walker. She never used her pendant ( call bell) and she started to spend the majority of her time in the room, even eating in her room 1-2 meals a day... she didnt want to join in activities... although the staff really encouraged her.
