Alluring atmosphere and exceptional care intertwine, here at Southmayd Home for Women. Everyone deserves an environment where they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Community Amenities and Services At Southmayd Home for Women, your health and safety is our number one concern. Our caring and professional staff will meet with you and conduct a personal consultation to gain a better understanding of what skills and techniques will work best for your needs. We then provide you with a two-week trial living experience to see how you feel in the new environment, and determine what further accommodations may be necessary. Feel a sense of peace knowing that our professionals conduct ongoing evaluations to make sure that your care plan adapts according to your needs. Residents of Southmayd have access to 24-hour assisted living care, which includes assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and ambulatory care, among other services. Three delicious meals are prepared fresh daily for all residents. All meals and snacks are high in nutrients, and we provide a variety of options to accommodate special dietary needs. Our staff also provides weekly housekeeping, laundry, and linen services, so you’ll no longer need to worry about chores or cleaning, and can spend more time and energy forming new friendships and participating in our daily activities. It’s important to remain physically, mentally, and socially active, which is why our Activity Coordinator organizes fun and engaging activities every day. Ladies can show off their knowledge during trivia night, learn new gardening tricks, or even enjoy some exercise classes. Our spacious indoor and outdoor common areas serve as excellent spaces for residents to gather to watch live entertainment or attend an on-site religious service. We also coordinate regular off-site trips to local restaurants, orchards, and even nearby beaches, for a refreshing change in scenery. Giving residents opportunities to enjoy life and create lasting memories is something we, at Southmayd Home for Women, take pride in. Living Options Our living quarters consist of cozy and private one-bedroom units. Each room comes fully furnished, but residents are welcome to bring their own belongings or rearrange the furniture as they wish. For your safety, emergency call systems are available in every room, so you can rest easy knowing that you are in caring hands at all times. ★★★★★
PositiveThey were great with mom, but limited to what she needed, she needs 24hr care, I really thought they were a great fit, but mom needed more. The staff was great especially nurse [name removed], when she always kept us updated and informed with mom while she was there, but she couldn't stay there as they were hands off, and mommy needed more care as she is now in a skilled facility.

PositiveOverall this has been a great experience. It was easy moving Mom in and everyone has been very supportive and helpful. Every time I am there I see the cleaning staff working. They are very nice and if there is something that I see in Mom's room they come right up and take care of it. The staff are all very friendly, caring, kind, and fun. They seem to enjoy their work and genuinely care about the ladies that live there. They take very good care of the ladies there. Everyone is clean and they seem happy. They make s…

PositiveI presently have a family member at Southmayd. In the past 15 years I have had three other relatives live there. The staff is amazing. The activities are wonderful and allow for self expression and as much or as little participation as the patient wishes. No holiday or birthday goes by without a party. Decorations abound.

PositiveMy aunt has been there for 5 years now. At first she was not sure she wanted to be there but those feelings changed quickly. She loves this place and the people who work here. I am very grateful to find such a nice place that treats their women with dignity and love. I only wish we had gotten my aunt in here years before. If you need a safe and beautiful environment for you family member this is the place.
