Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re deeply sorry to hear about your father’s passing and want to extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. We truly appreciate your kind words about our team — especially the medication staff, our communication efforts, and the holiday celebration. It means a lot to know that your dad was able to enjoy the activities and outings during his time with us, and that your family felt welcomed and supported. We also want to sincerely apologize for the areas where we fell short. Your feedback regarding communication with the nursing team and the misdirected phone calls is taken very seriously. We’re committed to providing respectful and attentive care to both residents and families, and your comments help us identify where we need to do better. Thank you again for your recommendation, and for allowing us the opportunity to care for your dad, even for a short time. If there’s ever anything more you’d like to share, we’d welcome the chance to speak with you directly at info@npseniorliving.com

Critical

Can't recommend

Mom had COPD & Dementia - weighed 145 lbs on admission. Also had hospice - SW commons left her in bed most days. Stacked meals on top of one another. Left in recliner for 18 hours - with bed sores - Bed sores in assisted living! Food is horrible. Understaffed - No Nurse at night and aides are just caregivers with little training. They take residents that need full care but don't increase staff to accommodate so others suffer. She fell and broke hip - several more falls - broken nose - hit head several times. We had

We are truly sorry for the loss of your mother and extend our sincere condolences. It’s clear from your review that your experience fell short of the standard of care and dignity we promise our residents and their families. While your initial decision to choose us was based on positive referrals and expectations of excellent care, we acknowledge that we did not consistently meet your expectations during your mother’s stay. Assisted living communities are intended to provide support with daily tasks and enhance residents’ quality of life, and we understand your frustration and disappointment with the gaps you described. We are taking your feedback regarding oversight, communication, and follow-up very seriously. Your experience highlights important areas for improvement, especially in clearly communicating care capabilities and ensuring consistent support for residents with evolving needs. If you are open to further discussion, please reach out to us at info@npseniorliving.com.

Southwest Commons Review

I am very happy with Southwest Commons. We chose this facility because they allowed my mom who has dementia and my dad stay in same room and both could go where ever they wanted to throughout the building. Others my mom was restricted to one area. Staff are very friendly. They always try to keep my mom engaged in activities during the day.

Memory care for mom

Southwest Commons was recommended to us by [name removed] from A Place for Mom. It was perfect for our particular situation and our loved one adjusted quite easily. The staff was outstanding and it was such a relief to know she was being well cared for. Our loved one made friends and enjoyed meals and activities and we saw her laugh and smile and engage more than she had in the few years prior to moving into Southwest Commons.

Six Stars!

Our family could not say enough about the facility, the caretakers, and the management at SW Commons. It comes with a high recommendation from each member of our family! My father was a resident here for about 5 months. He was on hospice and needed a higher level of care which he was able to receive in an Assisted Living setting. We were blessed by the fellowship he had at mealtimes and activities, and took full advantage of the outdoor courtyard where we spent many afternoons and evenings. His suite became our hom
