The staff are helpful and caring. However, the facility is small, the rooms are cramped and don't have much room to personalize. Also, it's expensive for the building being outdated.

A nice community

What I like the most about Sun and Sea is that it is smaller and the staff is great. Based on the experience I have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

Peace of mind

The lady who runs the place is very personable, up front and just wonderful to work with. We believe the care services are good, we just have a really good feeling about this place. Our loved one is well taken care of, and he has yet to complaint about the food it seems to be pleasing so far. As far as we know they do have group activities while wearing masks within the facility. The value is worth it for the care he is receiving, it helps give our family a peace of mind.

I was very impressed with Sun and Sea. The staff was very understanding of my situation and provided a very thoughtful explanation of their philosophy. It's located near the beach and the weather was much more tolerable there on a hot summer day than my home in La Mesa. The grounds were simple and uncluttered, and there was a music lesson going on which I really liked. They specialize in memory care, which I really appreciated, especially since dementia manifests in so many ways and is always changing. It was nice …

Beautiful facility and very friendly caregivers. I was made to feel very welcome and I liked the personal attention to each person that seemed to be given.
