Sungarden Terrace Assisted Living and Memory Care

I was looking to find a place for my friend with dementia. We met some of the staff during our tour. The were very professional and caring of the residents. Many of the residents were out in the common areas. Some were napping, but most were engaged in the community room playing bingo or domino's. The rooms were spacious. I was most impressed with large outdoor patio that wraps around the building. Perfect for allowing the residents to independently wander without needing supervision.

[Name Removed] was very helpful during my tour of the facility. The facility is designed so the residents can move about freely. They can walk outside and sit at the patios. My wife likes to walk and can do so when ever she likes. She met her roommate and they started talking to each other very helpful knowing she would have a nice roommate.

I thought it was very nice. Staff seems caring. I was introduced to an employee that had been there over 20 years. The residents engaged with staff in a friendly manner. Clean well kept facility. Loved the easy access to outside walking and patio areas. Per conversation they handle all the details from seeing that hearing aids are charges to diets.

It is very nice but it's too expensive for us. I would very much for my family member to be able to stay there.

My experience with Sungarden Terrace has been nothing but positive and I give it a 5 rating. The facility is warm and inviting as are the staff. They are efficient and caring and proactive if I have any concerns. [name removed] the Administrator Is always approachable and willing to sit go the extra mile. Outside grounds looked pleasant and well cared for; parts of indoor hallways had low lighting and hallway ceilings were quite low. Bedrooms were quite small and not set up for a flat screen TV, although they said they were renovating; the rooms did not have kitchenettes, just a small refrig. There were 3+ common areas, one being the dining room. One common room was more recently updated. They told us they were all hands on with caring for residents.
