Sunrise at Countryside

I met with a staff member, exploring the possibility of a family member moving into Sunrise of Countryside. I left the meeting feeling well informed, very pleased with the facility, and impressed with the staff members that I met. Our family has Sunrise as our preferred option for our loved one when he needs assisted living.

It was a pleasant visit. The people were friendly. The rooms were a decent size. It was evident a remodel had taken place.

- 1/2 complex is under construction so a bit disheveled and you can only see the old section of resident rooms. You can see a couple areas in renovated section. - old section is very outdated, worn, dark, smelly and uninviting - rooms visited were very tiny, old/outdated, odd odors and the shower is, as we were told a fiberglass unit you would find in a camper. Cautiously Happy

Well they seem very resident centered but they don't seem to have a very good management system in place. They seem to be kind of disorganized and that can be a little frustrating. If you have the patience to work with a disorganized management team the place is great. This most important thing is my mother seems to like it and that's saying a lot. They are very friendly and very supportive of each resident.

Review for Sunrise at Countryside

Caregivers are kind, caring, helpful, and friendly. Staff is good overall, but should have taken action when resident had a rattling cough. After family member asked staff to check his lungs, they advised he should go to the ER.

Overall would recommend

They are currently renovating so the available apartments are smaller/older. Would like more communication from staff and regular check ins/updates on my mom.
