A good place for mom

All 5 except for the care services, which id put at a 4. Nothing major - just a little more lax on getting her up and moving (which is one of the main reasons we left the old place) - They ([removed]) let her just sit in a wheelchair and she lost all ability to stand and walk. I've had to do a few reminders / requests for her to walk more. Before she moved in, they cleaned, painted, and put in new carpet. We've been happy with the communication. They do a monthly check-in from the nursing staff. I can also email …

I was very impressed. Looked like a brand new building, with many amenities. The only service that I was looking for, but not included, was transportation to/from Dr appointments.

Review for Sunrise of Overland Park

Staff is very attentive and respectful. Most times there are activities and staff is always present. Rooms are bright and good size. As our mom's needs have changed staff has appropriately adjusted to meet her needs.

Not a good place for mom

I would give a zero if I could. I have been in several assisted living conditions, and that was by far the worst I have ever been in! The staff was terrible. They were rude, and you never had enough they ignored call lights the food was a nightmare. Administrative staff were mean! They were very unkind and unsympathetic I would never ever ever recommend that place to anybody!

Care Like They Are Family.

Across the board 5. What we like the most about Sunrise of Overland Park is the quality of care and attentiveness of the staff has been exceptional. Staff is always present, ratio of staff to residents.

The Cleanliness is good. Friendliness is good with front desk and crn. Activities are okay but seems misleading from what they "sold" us on. Dining I get the most complaints from my mom on. Takes too long, they don't help her get to the dining room all the time. They are short staffed. Only bath is once a week. Laundry isn't great so I bring her laundry here to do. Price is way too high.
