PositiveGreat staff but needs improvement
The food is not very good at Sunrise and they are short staffed. But the staff that is there is excellent. I'd say it's a corporate management issue. I would recommend Sunrise. The whole industry is a mess and I think Sunrise is one of the better ones. I will say they need to up level the quality of food and staff to justify the price. Safety and nutrition are probably in the top 3 of why I wanted my mom there. Thankfully she's had a good recovery and can live on her own again.

I think it's more of an industry thing but we are not happy there. The people are very nice, staff is great. Food is an issue and it's clear it's a for profit business. We are thinking of having my mom go back on her own. She's out really taking advantage of the amenities that are available. Happy to provide more details if you wish.

Overall experience is great. Sunrise of Wilton is immaculate. All staff is exceedingly friendly. Quality of care is very good. Administrative staff is also quite good. Food needs improvement. Activities that I am aware of I would say are fine, but we'll learn more about them as my mom is more able to participate. Value for the money is a tough question because all of these places are egregiously expensive and I still struggle with trying to understand why they cost what they do, but she is in a beautiful facility w…

It really is just the perfect fit for my mom who does not need all the services but peace of mind knowing someone is always available when she needs. The only down side is the doors are only manned 8am - 8pm and it is not easy to get someone to let us in after those hours.
