PositiveFacility is on par with other similar facilities in the area. Prior to actual move-in the staff has been great.

CriticalMy husband had a number of falls while at Terra Bella. As per protocol, if a staff member didn't witness the fall the individual is taken to the ER. He was in a community room and a dining room for a few of these falls, yet no staff person saw them. The staff were really very accommodating and friendly. We did have a few items "borrowed" and not returned, but that's not so unusual. I should have written his name on everything. My husband's diet changed several times and the changes were made without any problems. T…

CriticalTerra Bella was willing to accept our loved one even though he was not medically regulated when they accepted him-which we greatly appreciated at the time since they were the only ones willing and he had been in the ED at UNC for 15 days-and they knew he was not medically regulated-he was extremely exit seeking and on-the-go when he got there and could be aggressive when they redirected him-but it became clear that they were not willing to take care of any of their residents who had any behavioral issues at all-lik…

CriticalI would not recommend sending a loved one here. Food is disgusting and people are left in tenue rooms screaming for hours. Unfortunately if a valid concern about the treatment of a loved one is reported, the response back from management is the resident or their family must be lying. Retribution and threats are then issued toward the loved one’s family and retribution is taking out on the resident

PositiveOverall decent. Staff very caring. Often physical access for family was frustrating. Front door bell doesn't ring inside facility, so outside of weekdays 9-5 you had to wait until a staff person walked by. Also had to find a staff person to let you leave. (Another facility had exit code posted in a visually disguised way so residents didn't use it.). Wish they could have provided iPad for Facetime/virtual visits for out-of-town family and friends. Phone access in general difficult.

CriticalI would not recommend Terra Bella for anyone's loved one. My husband was there two years ago. I met with the director almost weekly, with little improvement. My husband fell & broke his arm, I had to take him for follow up appointments although it was due to their neglect. He was sent to the hospital a couple times & I had to take him back to the facility because no one would answer the phone or there wasn't arrangements to pick him up
