The Ashton on Dorsey

Looks can be deceiving

My father has been living here for 16 months. While it is a beautiful facility, there have been many problems both with the facility itself (leaks, mold, inconsistent cleaning, theft) and with his healthcare. Staff turnover is high and warranted, but it appears the training is severely lacking and they do not have protocols in place and/or don’t follow instructions in patients charts. The Ashton is a beautiful facility. It is very clean with a light and airy feeling. The staff member who gave us the tour was very helpful.

Beautiful atmosphere, engaged and caring team

The Ashton at Dorsey had a very clean and bright atmosphere. Lots of natural light, colors that brightened rooms in both the common areas and apartment. The team at The Ashton was also very friendly and engaging. Visiting the memory care floor and seeing the activities and how the staff was engaging their residents sold us on this is the right place.

They have had a nearly complete staff turnover, directors and nurses and that is for the better
