The Cabana at Jensen Dunes

Best facility around with great peace of mind!

The Cabana at Jensen Dunes is the best facility around. The fact that when my mother no longer has funds to pay out of pocket they will continue her with Medicaid. We have Peace Of mind not having to switch her into a new facility.

Simple, too big, not enough Personal attention, couldn't get their billing straight since day one. Did not care for New Dir of Nursing. Nice, beautiful place, good food but even when they "up graded the furniture, they created less seating. They locked the only kitchen cabinet most people could reach between the sink and fridge( where you normally keep drinking glasses or small dishes) so the staff could keep their meds! It was positive but intake staff did not do a very thorough job making sure all documents were in order and when a DNR situation arose this created a crisis. My dad ended up passing away from Covid contracted during his stay - total time in Cabana was less than 2 weeks.

Inadequate Staffing/ Poor Management

I am a relative of one of the residents. The facility itself is beautiful and the grounds are kept neatly. While visiting my grandma I’ve encountered an issue with management due to bugs in the room. Our family had an in-person tour and even with the building seeming a little bit older from everything we saw and the staff that we spoke with, it appeared to be a nice community and a good tour.

Our family had an in person tour and the gentlemen who took us on the tour and was wonderful and has continued to reach out to us to see how things are going, but we weren't super impressed with the community but we could of made it work
