About The Chamberlin

The Chamberlin is a luxury waterfront independent living community overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. The community’s renovated and up-to-date iconic mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its soaring ceilings, elegant decor, and spectacular vistas give it the atmosphere of a lavish resort. The Chamberlin’s lively neighborhood has a rich history with exciting attractions — Old Point Comfort, the Hampton University Museum, the Virginia Air and Space Center, Colonial Williamsburg’s Merchants’ Square, and Outlook Beach, to name a few. Among The Chamberlin’s world-class amenities are a fully equipped fitness center, an indoor heated swimming pool, multiple waterfront restaurants, a solarium with panoramic views, walking trails, a grand piano bar, 24-hour concierge services, and more. The Chamberlin is pet-friendly, with all-inclusive wellness programs, fitness classes, delightful day trips and outings, and household maintenance all taken care of. At The Chamberlin, retirement is an era of intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual growth. Critical

Only for independent living

The Chamberlin is not for people who need assisted living. If the residents are very independent and have a lot of money then sure we would recommend this community to other families.

Review for The Chamberlin

Guests should be able to use some of the members food vouchers. My dad has lost money every month. More activities on the weekends. The staff is great!

Helping a friend

I would let other families know, that they are making an excellent choice when choosing the Chamberlain for the love one because it was the best place for me to find for my friend [name removed] They have helped him with everything he has needed from medical to getting him to the store for groceries. And the pricing is not bad either for all that they include.

I had an awesome tour experience with The Chamberlin. The facility itself is very cool, it is an old historical hotel. It is kind of smaller but it was really nice. If I could have afforded it, I would have moved in here in a heartbeat.

This community was wonderful all good but some of the disabilities that my loved one had did not work with this community.

my review of the Chamberlain

My mom likes this community very much. The community is very clean and the staff is nice. If you have any questions they will answer or find someone who will. The residence is also very friendly and it has a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this community to others
