I like the small size. Staff definitely know the residents. Rooms are nice. Staff is welcoming. Size of facility is good. They care about their residents as people.

The facility is beautiful and clean. They have their own cook who used to own a restaurant. He is fabulous and will customize as needed. There seemed to be a couple differences between what was promised by intro-staff vs by delivery of floor staff, but it could have been a simple issue of communication. Beautiful, spacious rooms. Very clean. Very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

CriticalNot a true memory care facility
I am not happy with them. They are not truly a memory care facility for Alzheimer's dementia. She kept getting out the door and they couldn't handle her angry outbursts. They called us constantly requesting us to come and get her. The courtyard is insisting we still pay for the month of January because we have to give a 30 day notice even though she is no longer there. I don't feel we should have to pay due to them not being able to handle her.

My father resided at the Courtyard at Oshkosh for 4 years. The facility is clean and well maintained. They decorate beautifully for their residents each holiday/season. The caregivers were wonderful. I was so touched that they knew my dad (his likes and dislikes) so well. They really pampered him. They would have his hot chocolate in front of him at meals before they even started serving. There were many things my brother and I liked about the Courtyard, it's a beautiful facility which seems well staffed. However when some issues arose my Mom was not happy and we ended up moving her to different facility. Shortly thereafter she went into skilled nursing and she passed away last [date removed] . It always seems very clean and well kept both in common areas and residents rooms.
