About the community
Retirement is the time to live purposefully and re-ignite some of those passions that got left by the wayside throughout the years. Our community, offers assisted living, where you can stay wonderfully independent and active while receiving the daily personal assistance you need. And you always have the security of knowing that our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency. We’re located in Longview, Texas, a beautiful small city with big personality in the heart of East Texas and, like our residents, you’ll embrace the small-town, intimate atmosphere. You’ll feel right at home in the comfortable living room and other cozy common areas perfect for visiting with friends and neighbors or curling up with a good book. Moving into a new home can be daunting, and we’re here to help. You’ll choose your apartment from among our studios and two-bedroom units. All have kitchenettes and large windows to let in abundant natural light. If you either don’t want to live alone or wish to save on rent, you can move into a friendship suite, in which two residents share an apartment. Bring your favorite furniture, cherished keepsakes and photos to decorate your apartment in your own unique style. We know that pets are like family, so if you have a four-legged friend, bring it along. We’re very pet friendly. Services and amenities enjoyed by residents at Brookdale Longview include: •Three chef-prepared restaurant-style meals served daily in our dining room •Personal housekeeping services •Laundry services •Snacks and beverages available throughout the day •Wellness center •Chapel •Postal service? Our community offers an engaging social life that encourages you to be involved as much or as little as you choose. Activities include fitness programs for your body and brain, arts & crafts, board and card games, live music, sing-alongs and Bible study. We also take outings to local shops, restaurants and attractions such as the Longview Museum of Fine Arts and Harrah’s Louisiana Downs Casino and Racetrack.

★★★★★
Positive. Nothing to compare to as first assisted living care but very rough on elderly's budget and unable to use outside monies to help with expenses. Staff is always very friendly ready to help. Call family with any concern. I do not know all the activities, but the family activities have been fun as far as the food on the family activities. It's just OK nothing special. I was surprised when a barbecue was actually INDUSTRIAL barbecue. It wasn't true barbecue cooked like it kind of lead you to believe. Rooms are nice si…

PositiveI love [names removed] personality they are very nice and caring. They always make sure I come down to eat for dinner. Very good care staff here at the The Eastman Senior Living. I also like how they handle me
★★★★★
PositiveMom's room is very comfortable. The staff takes very good care of her. They all know her by name. If there is ever a problem or a question they will call or text me. The food is excellent and they have regular social events where they invite the family to attend. On some Tuesdays our family will go and play games with Mom in the private dining room. The Eastman staff continues to make my mother comfortable and they have greatly lowered my stress. Thank you Eastman!
★★★★★
PositiveThe workers are engaged and truly helpful. Everyone made sure move in was smooth. Staffers checked in with my Mother-in Law for the first few days before see if she had questions or needed additional help. Residents are often seen visiting in the halls and lounge areas and they seem happy to call Eastman home
★★★★★
PositiveThe staff interaction at Brookdale Longview is great. They all seem friendly and attentive. We have sat with our family and also ate some meals. What we ate was good. Plates are well arranged and attractive. I think the housekeeping could improve. We would recommend Brookdale Longview Senior Living to others. We have recommended it already to some friends for their loved one.

PositiveI first visited [facility removed] & then Longview. I enjoyed the visit with both. I could tell that the residents in Longview really enjoyed being there and staff was very friendly with the residents. I want to find a place for my family member to call home. I would tell people to visit both places.
