About The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care

The Gardens at Brookridge is an assisted living and memory care community located in the lovely Rio Grande Valley. The prime location is conveniently close to the area’s famous shops, restaurants, and hospitals. Residents can also easily visit attractions in the beautiful neighboring city of McAllen. The homey community puts residents’ needs first. They aim to empower residents, improve quality of life, enhance dignity, honor choice, support independence, and promote positive well-being by offering customizable levels of care. With care that revolves around each individual, families can rest assured that their loved one is in good hands. Community Details The Gardens at Brook Ridge’s distinctive memory care program embraces six pillars of wellness deeply rooted in the Montessori methodology. Through physical engagement, sensory stimulation, spiritual support, social connection, intellectual discovery, and emotional expression, residents reconnect with cherished memories and have new, purposeful experiences. The experienced staff is dedicated to offering person-centered care that truly revolves around the lifestyle and preferences of each individual. They happily provide health monitoring, medication management, and assistance with activities of daily living. Whatever residents’ needs may be, the staff can be there to accommodate. The extraordinary community also features a great diet program that incorporates foods from the Rush University Medical Center MIND Diet to help foster brain health. Residents can also benefit from the sensory spa that helps reduce dementia-related behavioral side effects and from the virtual reality bucket list program that enables residents to have new experiences without leaving home. Living Arrangements It is important that each resident feels at home, so the community offers a variety of floor plans to help meet unique needs and desires. Residents can choose from studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Memory care residents can even choose to live in a shared or semi-private suite to have companionship throughout the day. Great place for seniors

The people are amazingly helpful and caring towards my mom. The food could be improved, it just tastes like regular cafeteria food. All in all, I think this is a wonderful choice for seniors.

Review for The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care

We greatly appreciated the following things compared to other facilities that my mother stayed in: 1. The activities calendar was full of things daily for my mother to participate in. 2. The food was tasty & varied. 3. The staff was very attentive to her needs. 4. The directors were receptive to questions/conerns, etc. 5. Everything was kept clean & tidy. I was a private-pay. The monthly cost was higher than any other facility that my mother lived in. I would recommend the facility to others (if they could a

Affordable! And a nice living place besides. Great staff, very caring

For cleanliness - there was broken glass in the corner of his room from when he knocked over his lamp and it broke. It was only by the bed that was vacuumed up. For meals, I had to finally ask for dad, to be moved to another table where the people would talk to him. Then it was fine. There was always activities and parties and decoration themes, but dad did not want to go to anything. He was asked be always said no. " He wanted to be at home". The cost was affordable for us! Dad just did not want to stay there, he
