PositiveThe staff of The Gardens of Riverside are friendly & caring. I wish there were a higher ratio of caregivers to residents. The caregivers are unable to promptly attend to every residents' needs. Often I had to wait for a caregiver to return from a lunch break in order to help my mother to the bathroom. The other 1 or 2 caregivers there, had to stay watching the main floor area. The caring staff does their best.
★★★★★
CriticalI would tell anyone looking into this place to stay FAR FAR FAR FAR away. The residents walk around like zombies. They aren't supervised well enough. Specialized needs aren't taken care of. Residents can easily escape. There are too many residents for how many staff members there are. It is just a sad, hopeless, depressing facility. Residents of The Gardens are locked out of their rooms for the entire day and thus forced to find a worker to take them to an always locked restroom or their room to use. Since the fa…

PositiveI know there is probably no way to make the cleanliness and meal issues any better without charging twice the price, so I feel a little guilty about those numbers. Bottom line, the Gardens took good care of my stepdad in a very bad situation. We had to move him and mom to different facilities (they both lied to us about the situation for so long that we then had to make an emergency move and there was no room in the memory care facility at her place), and the staff was very kind to my mom when she visited him, even…

PositiveStaff is attentive and has responded to any concerns I have. They keep me updated on any needs my family member has. Gardens are very pretty and they have many activities to involve the family. I would highly recommend.

CriticalMy loved one was previously a resident at The Gardens of Riverside and overall the experience at this facility was terrible. Some of the staff were nice and helpful. However, there were too many residents and not enough staff to monitor them. Most importantly, the residents are locked out of their rooms for the entire day. I would not recommend The Gardens of Riverside to others.
★★★★★
PositiveI would rate everything 5 stars! This place has been amazing! My dad is doing great there! What we really like about The Gardens is just how friendly the staff members are, how helpful they are, as well as knowledgeable. They genuinely care about my dad and his well-being. Based on our experience with The Gardens of Riverside we would absolutely recommend them to other families.
