About the community
The Gardens of Riverside Memory Care is nestled in the hills of La Sierra. We are two separate buildings on one property which allows us to provide a wide range of services to our cherished seniors! Our many years of service has built a strong relationship among residents, families, staff and our guests. We work diligently to meet the needs of our residents and encourage independence in everyone! Our Activity and Program Director is sensitive to residents social history and plans our calendar of monthly events based on the interests of all residents. Our beautiful courtyard contributes to the wonderful atmosphere and our team loves to make our community feel like home! THE GARDENS OF RIVERSIDE, specializing in memory care for residents with Alzheimer's and other causes of dementia.

PositiveThe staff of The Gardens of Riverside are friendly & caring. I wish there were a higher ratio of caregivers to residents. The caregivers are unable to promptly attend to every residents' needs. Often I had to wait for a caregiver to return from a lunch break in order to help my mother to the bathroom. The other 1 or 2 caregivers there, had to stay watching the main floor area. The caring staff does their best.

CriticalI would tell anyone looking into this place to stay FAR FAR FAR FAR away. The residents walk around like zombies. They aren't supervised well enough. Specialized needs aren't taken care of. Residents can easily escape. There are too many residents for how many staff members there are. It is just a sad, hopeless, depressing facility. PositiveI know there is probably no way to make the cleanliness and meal issues any better without charging twice the price, so I feel a little guilty about those numbers. Bottom line, the Gardens took good care of my stepdad in a very bad situation. CriticalMy loved one was previously a resident at The Gardens of Riverside and overall the experience at this facility was terrible. Some of the staff were nice and helpful. However, there were too many residents and not enough staff to monitor them. Most importantly, the residents are locked out of their rooms for the entire day. I would not recommend The Gardens of Riverside to others.

What we really like about The Gardens is just how friendly the staff members are, how helpful they are, as well as knowledgeable. They genuinely care about my dad and his well-being.
