About the community
The Greens at Greenwich is an intimate memory care home in a quiet and lush area of Greenwich, Connecticut. With a maximum of 30 residents, The Greens is kept intentionally small so that each resident can receive the attention and care that they deserve. The low resident-to-staff ratio allows the community members to feel secure and establish trusting relationships with the professional caregivers at The Greens. The staff of The Greens undergo continued and up-to-date training in order to provide the best possible compassionate memory support. The community offers individualized, all-inclusive care, so that as a resident’s needs progress, the cost of their care remains the same. The Green offers a warm, homelike atmosphere, surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds with scenic walking paths. The Greens takes a unique approach to memory care, incorporating creative arts therapy, curated sensory experiences, community engagement, and more. Members of the community can attend concerts, take classes, participate in spiritual practices, and attend fitness programs. The community also offers restaurant-style dining, organized outings, and outstanding staff. Skilled nursing and assistance with activities of daily living are available on site as needed. PositiveThe turnover rate has been bad in my 1 1/4 year exposure. They're On third top administrator. On fourth top nurse in same timeframe. Nurses come and go and I've stopped bothering to learn names. They're all pretty good. Programming staff has turned over a few times. I'm imagining the pay sucks and top management doesn't engender great family feeling. The programming is pretty good nearly all the time. I registered my my turnover complaint in writing to boss. No response. The food is above average. fees have gone u…

PositivePlenty of staff. All are very attentive. Several choices of rooms sizes and price range. Place is small. No part of the building is really remote. Again, very expensive.

PositiveThe overall experience has been wonderful. Finding a safe place for our loved one was so overwhelming. [name removed] from The Greens at Greenwich was so helpful and supportive for with our family. Not just our loved one who was being placed. It was the 1st place the residents AND all the staff were happy. It is much smaller than many of the facilities visited. Many of the direct care providers have been with The Greens at Greenwich for many years. They genuinely care about the residents. Our family is extremely pl…

PositiveMy loved one with advanced dementia has been at The Greens for several months now. Overall it's a nice place. The staff are good and friendly people. When I researched care places, no one ever mentioned that some residents have full time aides contracted from an outside agency. My loved one had a fall after moving in, and The Greens recommended we hire a full time aide. So we are paying tens of thousands per month, on top of what we pay The Greens, which is frustrating. And currently out of 30 total residents, I un…

PositiveOverall our experience with The Greens at Greenwich has been a positive one! It's a nice looking place, and the people have all been very friendly. I like that it is a smaller community, because the residents get a lot more individual attention. Really the only downside has been that the dining experience isn't quite as fancy as the larger community she was at before, but the food is still very good!

PositiveI cannot say enough good things about the Greens at Greenwich. We had placed my Mom at another facility 4 years ago which was geared towards independent living which is what she needed at that time. However, as her condition worsened, and as she needed more attention and assistance that facility could no longer address those needs adequately. I searched on Senior Advisor and read the qualifications and programs offered at the Greens and felt that they could care for my Mom and offer her the quality of life and car…
