PositiveBasically 5s across them all. After 2 no injury falls, a 3 plus day stay in hospital, dad went back to his apt w/ hospice care. The staff at Highlands went above & beyond to care for him in his final days. They were gentle, took time to explain to him what they were doing, all this while he was "sleeping". They even were caring to us, his family, providing for our needs! From admin to maintenence, nurses to caregivers they all looked in on dad, & us. They were truly blessings from God, each in their own unique & sp…

PositiveGeneral speaking, the overall experience has been very good. There are many activities to choose from, and my wife and I have been trying Some, partly because we both are very active, but also to meet and get to know more of the residents. The people we have gotten to know are very nice, and come from varied backgrounds and interests. Some of the communications with staff have been slow to get resolved, but that is getting better, as we've never lived in a cooperative community. We have a lovely home, and our son …

Critical[name removed] was polite, friendly and helpful, but the expense/cost of living at the Highlands is way too much for me. Definitely an upper class place. Nice place - very expensive. Also VERY large compared to the time my mother lived there. Definitely recommended for the upper-class applicant. As I recall my mother lived in assisted living and her room was rather small compared to the same kind of rooms in the current facility.

The facilities are attractive and inviting both inside and out. In addition to the apartments, the facilities offered comfortable areas for numerous activities - open and extensive library, piano for residents’ use, plus a variety of programs and committees. Pool and fitness center and salon are on site. We enjoyed a tasty lunch from a vari…

PositiveI really like the other owners and the diversity of interests. There are many activities, the food is good, and our house is lovely. We had a few communication issues at the beginning, but we did move in Thanksgiving week so that's part of it as some staff were not here. All in all a pleasant experience.

PositiveA majority of the staff are friendly, helpful, ready to help dad. Polite, patient, even when he is not. The apt is a good size, & there are other spaces if one needs company: a community room, library, gym, pool, etc. The residents have many of activities to join, on sight & off sight, tours to towns in the area; out to eating establishments. And having eaten at the dining room a few times, I can attest to how delicious the meals are, & there is more than enough! The cleaning staff keeps dad's apt neat & clean; dai…
