All the staff were delightful. [name removed] was compassionate and addressed all our questions and concerns. She’s a great Ambassador for the Pearle. The facility was very clean and the residents appear to be safe and happy. We certainly ranked it #1 in ALL the Memory Care facilities we toured for the week.

The Pearl at Jamestown

If you have a loved one who has dementia it'll probably cost you [Amount Removed] a month to keep that person in the facility with you paying for outside support in this matter.

The Pearl at Jamestown

One of the most attractive features is space. Residents are able to go out into garden, at will. The residents can walk all day or night on indoor track. Constant turnover of helpers makes it hard on residents. The residents become accustomed to workers and they become friends . When they move to other jobs. Adjustment to new workers trying to dress or toilet them often combative. Until residents get to know them.

Great community

The food not it's strong point , but the activities and sense of community it by far the best I've experienced. Most memory care facilities have few activities by comparison. Faculty and staff are comparable to most. In that it is hard to find dedicated workers at the wage paid. Keeping the good ones is hard when other places are always trying to woo the best to move to their facilities, and generally the best caregivers are moved up and away from the residents....where they are needed most

My devastating experience

This facility has too much behind the scenes chaos. Laundry service is an absolute nightmare. My daddy's closet was routinely replenished with other resident's clothing. What was put away in drawers was balled up & crammed in the drawers & socks lost & mismatched with other resident's socks. My daddy was routinely restrained in his wheel chair behind the table in the activity room and china cabinet. My daddy was not changed regularly & was NEVER turned him at night & NEVER repositioned in his wheelchair. Within 2 m

Very pleased with our experience

I have been very pleased with the facility. They try very hard to keep the residents occupied for the most part. They serve well balanced meals and snacks. The staff has been really great with my husband as he is one that doesn't stay still most of the time.
