The Polaris Community ( United Church Homes )

I like UcH Polaris. Food is really good. Staff is helpful and friendly. Price is right. I recommend it.

Improvements needed

Food is horrible. Appliances are old and cheap. My dryer burns and shrinks my clothes. Too hot. My heater doesn't register accurate temperature. The cost is reasonable. I would but caution them about the above. A new person is in charge and is trying to make changes.

Overall a good place for mom

I like the community it provides for mom. She has made some real friends. The food seems to have taken a downhill turn of late. They could really do better in that regard

Finding home.

She really likes where she ended up at. We just felt hounded with the calls before we could even get home from the tours. My mother really likes it there.

It looks good on the surface. Appliances are cheap. Carpet is very thin. If you are use to better quality you may not like it here. No staff on weekends or holidays. This is despite people here with Alzheimer's and dementia. I was told there are people here in hospice. That is not independent living. My washer on a late Sunday evening did not shut off the water. My apartment the hall was flooded as well as well as the apartment's ceiling. It had happened bey at least eight times. They don't change the valves until
