Most of the staff (in the secured memory care unit) were well trained in dementia and and were quite compassionate. Their communication with the family was outstanding. My father's needs were not only met, but he was afforded a dignity and respect I have found nowhere else. (We went through 3 different facilities before being blessed with the opportunity to have our father finally treated as well as he could be. Kudos to the staff. Wonderful care for your loved one

Overall, I would rank The Residence at Presque Isle Bay a 5/5. The inside and outside grounds are beautiful, and are decorated nicely for each holiday. It is kept very clean. The dining room is presented like a classy restaurant rather than a senior living center dining area. The food is tasty, and Mom appreciates having two choices for each meal, and the ability to have an alternative if she does not care for either of the two main options. This is really a nice place and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The nurses are good at keeping us updated with any changes or concerns of our love one. The place has always been clean from I have observed. My love one likes it there and loves the food and desserts. I would recommend this place to others.

I had a wonderful experience with The Residence at Presque Isle Bay in Erie, PA. I recently did work in the building and was genuinely impressed by the atmosphere and the community. The residents all appeared happy, engaged, and truly enjoying their time there. This, in my opinion, speaks volumes about the care they receive. Our Family's Experience

Was not at all happy with the residence. There were many issues and the biggest concern is lack of communication. For example, my father fell and received a gash on his head. No call that this happened or that he was sent by ambulance to the hospital. My mother and I found out three days later when we asked why he had staples in his head.
