The Residence at Shelburne Bay

[name removed] was very pleasant and readily answered my questions. The staff whom I met appeared quite happy in their work. The facility is and welcoming.

I am sure this would be a lovely place for some people. However, it felt like a resort to me and we are looking for something that feels more like home for mom. She does not need frills, she just needs comfort, good food, friends and laughter.

The place and the folks running it looked very appealing-especially the assisted living. It certainly remains a viable option if and when my relatives require this assistance.

Everyone was very friendly; from the person taking me around to the residents who knew I was looking at the facility. The common areas are very nice, dinning area, exercise rooms, outside and inside spaces for residents to get together. Some nice outdoor areas. I looked at a one bedroom partment being readied for a new resident, so it was empty. I bedroom, shower/toilet, a combination kitchen, living, dinning room . Fully equipped kitchen.

Lovely, well-run facility with many amenities. the grounds are lovely. There are many activities and food is know to be very good.

I was interested in common areas and liked how much light the great room has and how uncrowded the seating is. Likewise, the apartment we saw had lots of light. We have had several meals at Shelburne Bay. I appreciated the variety of options available and the freshness of the ingredients. The wait staff were attentive and polite.
