Community Amenities and Services At Trail Ridge, residents are given the opportunity to enhance their physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual wellness through the wide selection of ever-changing programs and entertainment options. The independent and assisted living communities both offer restaurant-style dining, housekeeping, transportation, unique entertainment, fitness and wellness programs, and several lifelong learning opportunities. Additionally, the independent living community offers a generous storage area, workshop, library, theater, two heated pools, and unique services like newspaper delivery and on-site banking. The assisted living community staffs 24-hour caregivers committed to providing quality services, such as medication management, cognitive support, and assistance with daily living activities. Led by caregivers with specialized memory care training and enriched with personalized activities, the new memory care center is designed specifically for residents with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia or associated memory issues. Living Arrangements Trail Ridge offers more than 20 independent living apartment styles to enable residents to find a place that feels like home. Both one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments are available. The community is designed with large windows to provide residents with ample amounts of natural light. For assisted living residents, the community offers 40 private cottages designed to provide health care with ease. The homey cottages allow residents comfort and quick access to common areas where they can participate in regular social activities. The newly constructed memory care center includes 22 rooms divided into two distinct neighborhoods. Designed to enable residents to become familiar with their surroundings, the memory care center helps residents avoid confusion and remain calm. Care Types Offered Trail Ridge Senior Living is an assisted living center , which in the state of South Dakota is a facility that provides assistance with daily living activities, including eating, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene; three meals a day; supervision of self-administration of medications; laundry service including personal laundry; housekeeping; and 24-hour staffing to residents. Facilities may care for residents who are cognitively impaired, but cannot care for residents who need skilled nursing care. Facilities may also have a memory care unit.
