Mom is happy

I found everyone to be friendly and helpful. Concierge, maintenence and administration have all been very helpful with move in and settling in. The residents have been very friendly and encouraging my Mother to join them in dining and activities. My Mother seems to be happy and likes University Place very much.

A place for dad

I would recommend the facility and everyone from housekeeping to the director have been wonderful. My father-in -law has no complaints. We have not met an unhappy person there and my father in law is a whole different person since moving there.

Great place for seniors who are independent.

Electric, cable, and 3 meals a day are all included in the rent. For activities, they have special days where they take you shopping and out to eat. Coming up soon, they're going to have a Senior Prom. They have musical nights where people play the guitar and things. They have yoga class, dominoes, bingo, nail polish, and a beauty/barber shop on-site. They have a Veterans' wall with pictures hung up. They also have special doctors - podiatrists, hearing doctors, dermatologists - who come by for those who don't get

Our tour here was very nice. We really liked University Place. It was clean, and they engaged with the people who live there. It's a very good choice if you’re in that position in Abilene. Basically, it came down to location. We chose a place closer to our family. Also, there's a big swing in price, and University Place was thousands more.
