CriticalReview for Valley Pines
It worked with the budget but now that we moved my mother in law in, we likely would not recommend. They don't have a director and the staff is not attentive.

PositiveBeing an assisted living facility, it doesn't totally meet my mother's needs because of her dementia and higher need for medical care. But she cannot afford a memory care facility. Hospice is helping with what VP does not provide. If it wasn't for my mother's dementia and age and need for the extra medical and physical care, VP would get a 5 star rating across the board. It is truly a lovely place.

PositiveGreat staff and very clean facility. Staff goes the extra mile to meet the needs of the residents. There are many activities for residents, in-house care is great, food is very tasty. The location is wonderful and it is easy for residents to walk to the nearest store for shopping

It's her dementia that is slowly getting worse, so that hinders how much she is able or willing to be involved in the activities provided there. The only issue I have is not being able to call someone after hours if I have a concern. I have tried and gotten no answer at any of the "main" numbers. PositiveAids and staff are really friendly and willing to help. The meals vary quite a bit and are balanced. Administration is easy to work with. We picked this community because it was smaller, wide hallways, and less expensive.
