Critical1) A lot of the staff is very young which has shown a wide variety of inexperience and there seems to be typical turn over which is seen in the younger workers of today. 2) Care appears to live up to expectations. However, consistency on schedules doesn't always shine. 3) Activities were shining but the younger star who directed them left. Remember, what I stated about turnover. 4) Kitchen staff is very inexperienced and the lead chief/cook doesn't seem suited for providing a professional and quality healthy mea…

CriticalThe cleanliness of the facility is a 5 but our loved ones room is a 3. her call button was supposedly broken and it took them days to get it figured out. Meanwhile it took a long time and multiple pushing of the button to get people to go out to her room. This facility will not accept people on insulin unless they are able to inject themselves and manage their own dosing. My mom is not able to do that so she is no longer eligible to go there. I had to take her off of insulin while she was there and that led a trip …

CriticalThe staff was great when they helped mom, but it might take them 45 minutes to get there. She soiled herself a time or two as a result. If I give the "quality of care" a low score, that will look as though the staff wasn't good, which isn't the case. They were severely understaffed. My mom loved [name removed] who was great, but the management was awful. When they let her run out of pain pills she was addicted to, not once but twice, putting her through extreme pain and expensive emergency room visits, that's a pro…

PositiveMy Sister is enjoying Keizer Ridge even though it's not home. This is her new home and she has her poodle [name removed] which all the residents absolutely Love. They have a new activity director that's doing lots of fun activities which my sister enjoys participating in. So far we've happy with most of the care she receives and the friends she's made.
★★★★★
PositiveThe staff are friendly, always addressing my mother by her name and asking how she's doing. The facility is always super clean and bright. Based on the experience we have had with Village at Keizer Ridge, we would recommend this community to other families.
★★★★★
PositiveAs with probably all facilities family must be frequent visitors to check on the care of their family member - we've had to address issues with management that we saw because we are there frequently. With that said - I would recommend the facility to others. I believe our mom is safe and secure and getting good care.
