My mother has been in Vineyard of Surprise’s memory care since March. I repeatedly reported finding her pills on the floor, but no action was taken until I contacted her case manager, who filed a state complaint. Director [name removed] then called me aggressively, misrepresenting my concern. My mother has suffered multiple falls—sometimes lying for hours before being found—and residents frequently enter her room, including a male resident who has urinated in her closet and trash can. She is unable to speak due to

A lot of money for rent + activities, unfortunately it's the going rate

My father has been at Vineyard Park for over a year. He feels secure and is happy there. I appreciate the place because they offer many activities. It's always very clean. It smells good and the staff are friendly. You need realistic expectations. You are simply renting a room and getting meals. If there are health issues, you need to hire your own caregivers but that's gonna be true with any assisted living facility. When I need care, I think I would choose a group home due to the limited number of clients and m

Vineyard Park is an Oustanding Community

The experience has been outstanindg. They offer lots of activities, such as; singing, playing games, and TV night. It's a fairly new facility. I picked this community, because of the cleanlineess, the staff was friendly, and the most important thing was the people. I would recommend to other families.

Improvements needed

It would have been nice when I was looking to know they were in the process to being bought out by another company. There have been a lot of changes. They have minimal staff, the chef walked out with his staff, the portions are not enough for the residents and they were not balanced meals. I make most of my loved ones meals and she eats them in her room. They cut staff hours so they are not fully staffed. The past week they have hired 2 new chefs and the food seems to be improving.

Engaged staff, intimate sized community

Our experience has been really good thus far. There has never been a lack of care, it is a smaller facility. I feel it is a really good value for the money comparatively. Their apartment has a really nice patio that they absolutely love to take their dog out on I think since it is a smaller community they get a lot of relaxed, one on one care. The staff are very attentive, friendly and are truly interested in my folks and the family. From the receptionist to the director -they have all been very personable and know

Horrible Management, food disgusting, NOT A FAMILY atmosphere

STAY AWAY!!!! My mother has lived here for 2.5 years. The decline in care has been steady since the arrival of [name removed] and [name removed]. We chose this place for my parents because it had a family atmosphere. Employees were treated like family and thus treated residents and family members like family. Now? It's nothing more that another company out to make a buck. The only reason my mother has been there for as long as she was is in part to consistency and routine being optimal for Alzheimer's/dementia pat
